2025 Genesis GV60: Sportier Design & Big Tech Upgrades

2025 Genesis GV60: Sportier Design & Big Tech Upgrades

Genesis has unveiled the updated 2025 GV60 electric crossover, introducing several key improvements. These changes enhance the vehicle’s sportiness and overall premium feel. Since its original debut in October 2021, the GV60 has already been known for its luxurious style, but this refresh takes it a step further. Let’s explore what’s new.

Interior Overhaul: A Sleek New Display

The most noticeable change is inside the cabin. Genesis replaced the dual 12.3-inch screens with a seamless 27-inch ultra-wide display. This single panel stretches from the driver’s side to the center of the dashboard, creating a more modern and high-end atmosphere. Bezels have been minimized, offering a cleaner look. Additionally, Genesis introduced a new three-spoke steering wheel, first seen in the facelifted GV70, adding a fresh touch to the driver’s space.

Subtle Yet Significant Exterior Changes

Exterior updates focus on refining the GV60’s sporty appearance. The front bumper now features a reshaped grille, giving it a more aggressive stance. At the rear, Genesis removed the previous silver trim, opting for a body-colored lower bumper, which improves the car’s cohesive design.

Furthermore, the wheel arches, previously clad in bare plastic, are now body-colored. This change reduces the rugged aesthetic but enhances the GV60’s sleek and premium profile. New 21-inch five-spoke aero wheels add a sporty flair, making the refreshed GV60 stand out even more.

Potential Battery and Performance Boost

Genesis hasn’t confirmed technical upgrades yet, but a larger 84 kWh battery—already present in its sibling models, the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5—seems likely. This could increase the GV60’s range by about 10-12 miles compared to its current setup.

A high-performance variant may also be on the horizon. The GV60 Magma concept, which could go into production, promises more power and an edgier design. If launched, this model might deliver over 600 horsepower, surpassing even the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. Additionally, it could introduce artificial engine sounds and virtual shifting, similar to what Hyundai offers in its high-performance EVs.

Pricing and Availability

Genesis plans to launch the revised GV60 first in South Korea in Q1, with details on trims and pricing to follow. It will arrive in Australia by Q3, though its U.S. release date remains unconfirmed. Current GV60 models range from $53,800 to $71,350, but the upcoming Magma variant could push the price close to $80,000.

With a refreshed design, potential battery improvements, and the promise of a sportier variant, the 2025 Genesis GV60 aims to solidify its place among luxury electric crossovers. Stay tuned for more updates as Genesis reveals detailed specs later this year.
