Polestar Energy integrates seamlessly with Polestar Charge, giving drivers access to over 875,000 charging points across Europe, including Tesla Superchargers, and 17,800 chargers in North America with the NACS adaptor. Together, they create a comprehensive charging ecosystem for both home and on-the-go use.
Smart Charging Saves Money and Reduces Emissions
The Polestar Energy app allows users to optimize charging by balancing energy demand. Drivers simply set their desired charge level and when they need the car, and the app handles the rest. Later in 2025, Polestar plans to introduce bi-directional charging for its lineup, starting with the Polestar 3. This feature will enable vehicle-to-grid (V2G) and vehicle-to-home (V2H) functionality, allowing cars to store energy and send it back to the grid or power a home. Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller emphasized that this will add even more value to customers, transforming their vehicles into mobile energy solutions.

To use Polestar Energy, customers need a compatible home charger. Polestar offers the Zaptec wallbox, which includes smart charging features, as part of an exclusive package with installation costs covered.
