Lucid just confirmed that its 2025 Gravity SUV will come standard with a Tesla NACS charging port—and Supercharger access goes live on January 31. This move puts Lucid owners in one of the most reliable charging networks available, making long road trips easier than ever.
Tesla NACS Comes Standard
Lucid announced its switch to the North American Charging Standard (NACS) back in 2023, but now it’s official—every U.S.-built Gravity SUV will include a rear driver’s side NACS port, just like a Tesla. This change improves compatibility with Tesla’s V3 and V4 Superchargers, eliminating the need for clunky adapters.
For now, only the Gravity SUV gets the built-in NACS port, but Lucid says Supercharger access for the Air sedan is coming later in 2025.
Faster Charging, Longer Range
Lucid claims that the Gravity will charge at a sustained 225 kW on Tesla’s 500-volt V3 Superchargers and up to 400 kW on the 1,000-volt V4 Superchargers. That means drivers can add 200 miles of range in under 12 minutes—a major boost over previous estimates.
The 123 kWh battery, sourced from Panasonic, promises up to 450 miles of range per charge. Lucid also says it has improved battery chemistry compared to the Air sedan.
Bidirectional Charging & More
Every NACS-equipped Gravity includes a CCS1 adapter, allowing access to non-Tesla fast chargers as well. Lucid’s RangeXchange feature, first seen in the Air, will also be available—letting owners charge other EVs using bidirectional charging.
Pricing & Availability
The Lucid Gravity Grand Touring starts at $94,900, with a $79,900 Touring model coming in 2026. Early test drives suggest this luxury SUV could be a serious competitor to the Rivian R1S and Tesla Model X.
With Supercharger access, long range, and ultra-fast charging, is the Lucid Gravity now the best luxury EV SUV on the market?
