These processors provide over 20 times the computing performance of current BMWs, allowing for faster responses, improved safety, and continuous updates via AI and the cloud.
Smarter Wiring, Better Efficiency
BMW has also redesigned its entire electrical system for greater efficiency. A new zonal wiring harness reduces complexity, cutting 600 meters of wiring and lowering weight by 30%. This streamlined setup, combined with Smart eFuses, improves energy distribution and efficiency by 20% while increasing reliability.
AI-Powered Software & Continuous Updates

BMW’s software development has expanded significantly, with a global team of 10,000 developers producing 130 times more code than a decade ago. Using a cloud-based system called CodeCraft, BMW processes up to 200,000 software builds per day, ensuring rapid innovation and seamless updates.
