A Refreshed Classic
The Polestar 2 has been around since 2020, but it’s not going anywhere just yet. As newer models like the Polestar 3 and 4 arrive, the brand’s first electric sedan stays in the lineup—now with smart updates for 2026.
The latest version brings meaningful tech and battery upgrades that keep it competitive without messing with its signature style.
Faster Tech, Smoother Drive
Inside, every 2026 Polestar 2 comes equipped with a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, making infotainment quicker and more responsive. Apps will load faster, and updates should install more smoothly. This means better daily usability for drivers.
Polestar also introduced optional Bowers & Wilkins premium audio—a 14-speaker setup that pumps out 1,350 watts of sound. Paired with new interior finishes like MicroTech upholstery and Black Ash trim, the cabin gets a subtle luxury boost.
New Battery, Slight Range Bump
The Standard Range Single Motor version swaps its old LG Chem 69 kWh battery for a 70 kWh unit from CATL. Charging speed stays solid at 135 kW, allowing for a 10–80% top-up in 34 minutes. Range nudges up slightly from 339 to 344 miles (WLTP).
Long Range versions still use the 82 kWh pack with up to 205 kW charging, cutting the same charge window to 28 minutes. All trims support Plug & Charge as standard.
Same Power, New Looks
Performance figures remain the same:
- Standard Range: 268 hp, 0–60 in 6.2 seconds
- Long Range RWD: 295 hp, 0–60 in 5.9 seconds
- Long Range AWD: 416 hp, 0–60 in 4.3 seconds
- Performance Pack: 469 hp, 0–60 in 4.0 seconds
- Top speed for all is 127 mph.
Outside, you’ll find a new Dune metallic paint and five-spoke forged wheels if you opt for the Performance Pack.
Rolling Out Now
The updated 2026 Polestar 2 is now available in Europe, Hong Kong, and Israel, with more countries to follow this year. Small upgrades, smart choices—this EV isn’t ready to retire just yet.
