A Bold Vision for Premium Travel
Mercedes-Benz is turning heads with the Vision V, a luxurious electric van concept that blurs the line between people carrier and private jet. Though it shares a name with the V-Class, Mercedes says it’s more of an S-Class on wheels. And once you step inside, you’ll understand why.
This is not your average minivan. The Vision V’s sleek, aerodynamic exterior is elegant and modern. It’s lower and more refined than the V-Class, giving it a futuristic, premium stance that feels more like a tech lounge than a van.
Lounge-Like Interior That Feels Otherworldly
Inside, luxury is on full display. Two large armchairs — inspired by retro ’70s design — recline into full loungers. A 65-inch roll-up screen rises from the floor, transforming the space into a private cinema. With 45 speakers and dynamic ambient lighting, the cabin feels immersive and surprisingly cozy.
There’s also an electrochromic glass divider that can go opaque for total privacy. Materials like open-pore wood, leather, and glass soften the futuristic design with an old-world charm.
From Concept to Reality
While the interior dazzles, Mercedes has confirmed that a production version of the Vision V is on the way. Built on the upcoming VAN.EA-P platform, the road-ready version will offer over 310 miles of electric range. Expect more practical elements like the CLA-inspired triple-screen dash to carry over.
The Vision V isn’t just for show. Mercedes plans to bring the production model to the U.S. next year, targeting luxury buyers seeking comfort, tech, and sustainability.
A Van With Global Appeal
With Asia already embracing upscale vans, Mercedes is ready to spark similar demand in the U.S. and Europe. The Vision V could be the catalyst that redefines van culture — no longer just utilitarian, but something to aspire to.
