Waffle House Goes Electric—Literally
Starting in 2026, Waffle House will begin offering 400kW DC fast EV chargers at select locations. Thanks to a new partnership with BP Pulse, the iconic 24/7 diner will double as a charging hub for electric vehicle owners. Each participating location will feature six high-speed charging bays, supporting both CCS and NACS connectors to accommodate nearly every EV on the road today.
It’s a bold move that blends hashbrowns and high voltage, offering drivers a reliable place to recharge—both their car and themselves.
Southern Hospitality Meets High-Speed Charging
The rollout is set to begin in Texas, Georgia, Florida, and other Southern and Southeastern states where Waffle House has a strong presence. With over 2,000 locations in 25 states—many just off major highway exits—Waffle House is perfectly positioned to support long-distance travel.
EV road trips in the South just got more convenient. Instead of searching for isolated charging stations, drivers will be able to enjoy hot food, warm coffee, and a bit of the local flavor while they top up their battery.
This setup transforms a practical need into a pleasant experience—a major win for EV adoption.
BP Pulse Pushes Forward
BP Pulse is continuing its aggressive EV infrastructure expansion in the U.S. With over 8,000 charging locations already live across 46 states, this partnership strengthens its strategy of placing chargers where drivers already stop.
“We’re building a robust network of ultrafast chargers across the country,” said BP Pulse CEO Sujay Sharma. “Partnering with Waffle House lets us offer convenience, comfort, and accessibility in one stop.”
This is more than just charging—it’s rethinking the EV pit stop.
A Win for EV Drivers—and Waffle Fans
The move highlights a growing trend: putting EV chargers where people actually want to be. EV drivers on Reddit are all in, calling it a game changer for road trips.
Charging is always better with waffles.
