Tesla Opens LA Diner with 80 Superchargers

Tesla Opens LA Diner with 80 Superchargers

Retro Vibes, Future Tech

Tesla has officially launched its long-awaited diner and Supercharger combo in Los Angeles.
Located on Santa Monica Boulevard, the space brings together three worlds: a classic 1950s-style drive-in, modern tech features, and futuristic EV infrastructure.

Open 24/7, the site features a full-service diner, a rooftop patio, massive movie screens, and 80 V4 Superchargers—making it the largest urban charging hub on the planet.

Years in the Making

Back in 2018, Elon Musk tweeted about opening a “roller skates & rock” diner at a Supercharger. Seven years later, it’s finally real.
Tesla’s chief designer, Franz von Holzhausen, led the project and opened the doors on July 21, 2025.

Now, it’s charging cars and appetites around the clock.

Menu Highlights & Smart Ordering

Chef Eric Greenspan curated a classic comfort food menu. Think Tesla Burgers, hot dogs, chicken & waffles, cinnamon rolls—and of course, “epic” bacon.
All ingredients are locally sourced, many from within a single charge’s distance.

And yes, your Tesla can order for you. Using a geofenced in-car system, drivers approaching the diner get a pop-up to pre-order. The kitchen gets the alert and times the meal for pick-up or in-car delivery.

Entertainment & Merch Madness

You can eat indoors or catch a rooftop movie on twin 45-foot LED screens. Tesla’s humanoid robot, Optimus, even hands out popcorn.
And while your car charges, you can shop exclusive Tesla merch—gummies, apparel, and even an all-black Tesla Bot action figure.

This isn’t just dinner—it’s a Tesla brand experience.

80 V4 Chargers Powering the City

With 80 NACS-compatible charging stalls, this is Tesla’s largest urban Supercharger location worldwide.
Charging, eating, and chilling just became a unified experience. It’s designed to serve over 2,000 people per day.

What’s Next? Think Bigger

If the LA spot takes off, Musk says Tesla will launch these diner hubs globally.
First up? Starbase, Texas. And after that—maybe your city.

This is more than a charger. It’s the future of the EV pit stop.
