Electric for Everyone
Volkswagen is reshaping what an entry-level EV can be with the all-new ID. Polo. This compact electric hatchback starts at just €25,000 and is set to launch in 2026. It’s the first of four small EVs Volkswagen plans to roll out, aimed at making electric mobility more accessible than ever—without compromising on design, technology, or driving feel.
And yes, the Polo name is back—now with zero emissions and smarter engineering.
Power Meets Range
The ID. Polo isn’t just affordable—it’s flexible. At launch, buyers can choose from three power outputs:
- 85 kW (116 PS)
- 99 kW (135 PS)
- 155 kW (211 PS)
A sporty GTI version with 166 kW (226 PS) will arrive later.
Battery options include:
- A 37 kWh lithium-iron phosphate pack, with fast charging up to 90 kW
- A 52 kWh NMC battery, offering up to 450 km of range and 130 kW DC fast charging
That means faster top-ups and more distance between plug-ins.
Built on Volkswagen’s MEB+ Platform
Under the skin, the ID. Polo rides on the advanced MEB+ platform, Volkswagen’s next-gen modular EV architecture. It features a newly developed front-wheel drive system and the efficient APP 290 electric motor.
Thanks to cell-to-pack battery tech, the ID. Polo reduces complexity, weight, and cost—while boosting energy density and interior space.
Compact, But Surprisingly Spacious
Measuring just over 4 meters, the ID. Polo is perfect for tight streets but big on practicality. It comfortably seats five passengers, offers 435 liters of trunk space, and expands to 1,243 liters with the rear seats folded.
It’s more flexible than any Polo before it.
Smart Tech, Safer Drives
Packed with next-gen features, the ID. Polo includes advanced driver-assistance systems like enhanced Travel Assist, lane change support, and traffic light recognition.
These innovations are no longer reserved for luxury EVs—they’re now built into a car designed for everyday drivers.
