VinFast Reveals Its Most Luxurious EVs Yet

VinFast is aiming higher. The Vietnamese automaker has unveiled two new flagship electric vehicles—the Lac Hong 800S SUV and the Lac Hong 900S sedan. Both models represent the peak of the company’s ultra-luxury ambitions and expand the newly formed Lac Hong brand.

These EVs will sit above the previously introduced Lac Hong 900LX, including its armored variant. Together, they form the most exclusive lineup VinFast has ever created.

VinFast’s Three-Tier EV Strategy

VinFast now structures its electric vehicle portfolio around three distinct product families.

At the top sits Lac Hong, a luxury-focused brand designed for flagship vehicles and premium craftsmanship. Beneath it, the company’s VF series covers mass-market electric models such as the VF3, VF9, and the upcoming MPV7. Meanwhile, the Green line serves commercial mobility with vehicles like the Limo Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green, and Minio Green.

This tiered strategy allows VinFast to target multiple segments of the rapidly growing EV market while maintaining a clear identity for each lineup.

Powerful Tri-Motor Performance

Both the Lac Hong 800S and 900S rely on an advanced tri-motor electric powertrain. The setup places one motor at the front and two at the rear, generating a combined 460 kW (617 hp).

This configuration aims to deliver strong acceleration and confident traction. Additionally, VinFast equips both models with a fully active suspension system. The technology adjusts continuously to maintain ride comfort while improving stability during dynamic driving.

Design Rooted in Vietnamese Heritage

VinFast infused these flagship EVs with strong cultural symbolism. The front grilles feature vertical slats inspired by Vietnamese bamboo, while the hood ornaments resemble the mythical Lac bird rising into the sky.

Designers also incorporated subtle patterns referencing Dong Son bronze drums and terraced rice fields. Even the Lac Hong badges carry a unique identity, rendered in calligraphy and finished with gold-plated alloy.

The 800S SUV projects strength with a bold stance and strong proportions. In contrast, the 900S sedan adopts a more graceful and timeless silhouette.

A Cabin Built for Ultimate Comfort

Inside, both EVs emphasize craftsmanship and refinement. VinFast combines napa leather, rare wood trims, and gold-plated accents to create an upscale environment.

Passengers benefit from zero-gravity executive seats, automatic power-assisted doors, and advanced infotainment systems. The flagship 900S pushes luxury even further with a starlit headliner, privacy partition, projector entertainment system, and foldable workstation for rear passengers.

VinFast plans to launch both models in 2027. Until then, the Lac Hong lineup offers an early glimpse of how the company envisions the future of ultra-luxury electric mobility.
