Porsche’s New Electric Cayenne Might Be the One to Get

A New Performance Option in Porsche’s Electric SUV Family

Porsche continues expanding its electric SUV range. The brand has now introduced the Cayenne S Electric, a new variant that fills the gap between the entry-level Cayenne Electric and the range-topping Turbo model.

This version focuses on balance. It brings stronger performance than the base model while avoiding the higher price and extreme setup of the Turbo. As a result, the S version could become the most appealing choice for many buyers.

Powerful Dual-Motor Setup

The Cayenne S Electric relies on two permanent-magnet electric motors, one mounted on each axle. Together they create an advanced all-wheel-drive system designed to deliver both traction and speed.

Under normal driving conditions, the system generates 400 kW (544 hp). However, performance increases when Launch Control activates. At that moment, output rises to 490 kW (666 hp).

This temporary boost allows the SUV to reach 100 km/h in only 3.8 seconds. Porsche also limits the vehicle’s top speed to 250 km/h.

Meanwhile, the rear motor uses direct oil cooling, a system designed to control heat more effectively during demanding driving situations.

Long Driving Range and Ultra-Fast Charging

Porsche equips the Cayenne S Electric with a 113-kWh high-voltage battery shared across the electric Cayenne lineup.

According to WLTP estimates, the SUV can travel up to 653 kilometers on a full charge.

Charging performance is another highlight. When connected to a compatible high-power DC fast charger, the battery can recharge from 10% to 80% in around 16 minutes under ideal conditions.

This capability helps make long-distance electric travel far more practical.

Distinct Design Details

The Cayenne S Electric also introduces model-specific styling elements. Porsche adds Volcano Grey Metallic accents to the front and rear sections, giving the SUV a more distinctive look.

The vehicle rides on 20-inch Cayenne S Aero wheels, while buyers can choose from 13 different exterior colors.

Several advanced performance options are also available. These include Porsche Active Ride suspension, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, ceramic composite brakes, and the Sport Chrono Package.

Drivers can also activate Push-to-Pass, which briefly adds extra power for quick acceleration.

New Custom Interior Package

Alongside the new model, Porsche introduces a fresh customization option from Exclusive Manufaktur. The new Interior Style Package adds unique materials and colors to the cabin.

The design combines Black and Delgada Green leather, contrast stitching, and decorative elements finished in Izabal Green. Even the vehicle key follows the same color theme.

These details create a distinctive interior designed to stand out.

Orders Now Open

Porsche has already opened orders for the Cayenne S Electric. With strong acceleration, long range, and extensive personalization options, the new variant aims to deliver a compelling middle ground within the brand’s electric SUV lineup.
