Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric launches

Porsche unveils high-performance electric SUV coupe

Porsche has revealed the Cayenne Coupe Electric, joining the existing Cayenne ICE and hybrid lineup. The new EV brings extreme performance to the SUV coupe segment, combining Porsche’s luxury design language with serious electric power and off-road capability.

The lineup includes three variants: Cayenne Coupe, S Coupe, and Turbo Coupe Electric, each stepping up in power and performance while maintaining the same core platform.

Extreme performance and range of variants

At the top of the range, the Turbo Coupe Electric delivers up to 1,139 hp and 1,106 lb-ft of torque, launching from 0–60 mph in just 2.4 seconds with a top speed of 162 mph. Even the base model is no slow SUV, offering 435 hp and 615 lb-ft, while the mid-tier S model produces 657 hp.

All versions use an 800-volt architecture with adaptive air suspension, rear-axle steering, and optional performance upgrades like Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and Active Ride suspension on higher trims. Despite the performance focus, the Cayenne Coupe Electric still supports off-road capability, including an optional package that improves approach angles.

Charging and practicality

The Cayenne Coupe Electric features a 113 kWh battery capable of ultra-fast charging speeds up to 400 kW. Under ideal conditions, Porsche claims a 10–80% charge in under 16 minutes.

It also supports multiple charging standards, including a rear-mounted NACS port, a J1772 AC port, and a CCS adapter included as standard. Practicality remains strong, with a 7,716 lb towing capacity, fold-flat rear seats, and both front and rear cargo space.

Interior and design

Inside, the SUV maintains a familiar Cayenne layout but adds modern EV-focused refinements like configurable seating, panoramic glass roof, and sport-oriented digital displays. Buyers can choose between two-seat or 2+1 rear seating configurations depending on use case.

Pricing and launch timeline

Pricing starts at $113,800 for the base Coupe Electric, $131,200 for the S model, and $168,000 for the Turbo variant. Deliveries are expected to begin in late summer 2026.

Bigger picture

The Cayenne Coupe Electric shows Porsche pushing deeply into high-performance electric SUVs while keeping its luxury and usability focus intact. With supercar-level acceleration in an SUV form factor, it highlights how quickly performance EVs are redefining what “practical” speed looks like.
