Europe, Meet Your AI Copilot
Kia is taking its next-gen voice assistant global. After launching in Korea and the U.S. last year, the automaker is now rolling out its AI-powered assistant to European drivers. First stop? The EV3, with more models to follow. And thanks to over-the-air (OTA) updates, existing owners won’t miss out.
Natural Conversations, Smarter Cars
This isn’t your average clunky voice control. Kia’s AI Assistant uses generative AI to understand natural speech and context. Want to ask about a traffic jam, the nearest Thai spot, or how to engage lane-keeping assist? Just say, “Hey Kia.”
You can even get philosophical—like asking why the sky is blue, and getting a kid-friendly explanation while cruising with your family.
Smarter Every Day
Kia’s AI Assistant learns and evolves. Regular OTA updates will bring new features, smarter answers, and better integration with the car’s connected systems. It can now show both your remaining range and state-of-charge at the same time. Plus, it adapts based on your past 10 miles of driving for more accurate range estimates.
And it’s not just about the car. Planning a camping trip? Kia’s assistant can help you pack. Meeting a friend from another culture? It can share local customs and etiquette tips.
Tap, Talk, Drive
Using the AI Assistant is simple. Press the voice button on the steering wheel or say, “Hey Kia.” From there, the possibilities are surprisingly broad. Ask for music recommendations, weather updates, or instructions on how to activate driving aids like Highway Driving Assist.
It’s all part of Kia’s push to make driving more intuitive, connected, and human.
Available Now on EV3—More Models Coming
The AI Assistant is standard on the U.S. Kia K4 and Korea’s EV3. European EV3s built after March 2025 will come with it pre-installed, while older models are getting the upgrade via OTA.
