Lease a Hyundai on Amazon: $7,500 EV Tax Credit Included

Click, Lease, Drive

Amazon has officially entered the car leasing game. Through Amazon Autos, you can now lease a brand-new Hyundai without stepping foot in a dealership. Just browse online, pick your vehicle, and complete the process from home.

Currently, Hyundai is the only brand offering full leasing integration on the platform. But if you’re in the market for an EV like the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, or Kona Electric, you’re in luck.

Claim That $7,500 Tax Credit

Here’s where it gets even better: by leasing a Hyundai EV through Amazon Autos, eligible buyers can take advantage of the $7,500 federal EV tax credit. Since leasing is the only way Hyundai EVs qualify for the credit under current U.S. rules, Amazon’s offering couldn’t have better timing.

This setup delivers serious value without the usual dealership back-and-forth. No haggling. No hidden fees. Just transparent pricing and a smoother experience.

A Growing Marketplace

Amazon Autos began as a pilot in late 2023. By early 2025, it expanded to 68 U.S. markets. It currently focuses on new Hyundai models, with Hyundai Capital handling financing and leasing.

Fan Jin, Director of Amazon Autos, says the platform aims to grow quickly—bringing in more lenders, automakers, and even used cars down the line. Joint credit applications and bundled service packages are also in the pipeline.

Dealers Still in the Mix

Even though you lease through Amazon, dealers stay involved. Amazon positions the platform as a dealer marketplace, helping dealerships reach new customers without taking a cut of the sale. It’s a win-win for shoppers and sellers.

With brands like BMW showing interest and more inventory on the way, Amazon Autos could soon become a go-to destination for car leasing online.
