Lucid’s Gravity X Concept Wants to Take You Everywhere

Lucid’s Gravity X Concept Wants to Take You Everywhere

Lucid is pushing boundaries in the electric SUV game. Unveiled at Monterey Car Week, the Gravity X concept builds on the full-size Lucid Gravity SUV, showcasing a rugged vision of electric adventure.

From Big Sur to Death Valley — No Compromises

More than just a lifted SUV, the Gravity X concept is engineered for adventure across California’s most iconic and unforgiving landscapes — from the cliffs of Big Sur to the desert floor of Death Valley.

“Lucid Gravity has redefined the limits of what an uncompromising SUV can achieve. The Lucid Gravity X concept expands on these core principles to explore new possibilities off the beaten path while showcasing the incredible capabilities of the Lucid Gravity,” stated Derek Jenkins, SVP Design and Brand at Lucid.

Drawing on the performance foundation of the Lucid Gravity Grand Touring — with up to 450 miles of EPA-estimated range, dual-motor AWD, and a 0–60 mph time of 3.4 seconds — the concept reimagines these capabilities for off-road exploration in a three-row layout with room for up to seven passengers and their belongings.

Lucid has enhanced the Gravity X for true off-road utility:

  • Lifted suspension
  • Skid plates
  • 21/22” all-terrain tires
  • Functional tow hooks and custom roof box
  • Redesigned bumpers for improved approach and departure angles

Every detail is intentional. From the Astral Drift satin finish and orange accents to topographic hood graphics, the Gravity X concept is steeped in West Coast inspiration — even down to Pebble Beach coordinates stamped on the rocker panels.

Rugged Inside and Out

The interior blends refinement with function: premium leather seats, walnut wood inlays, a microsuede steering wheel, and durable floor mats create a luxury cockpit made for dirt, snow, and sand.

What’s Next?

The Gravity X remains a concept with no pricing or production timeline announced. Separately, Lucid has confirmed its midsize EV platform is in development, and one of those future models may draw design inspiration from the Gravity X concept.
