CUPRA is giving its electric hatchback a serious refresh. The updated Born arrives with sharper styling, improved tech, and more performance options.
Right away, the exterior shows a stronger identity. The front bumper now looks more aggressive, while the rear design feels cleaner and more modern. New triangular Matrix LED headlights create a distinctive light signature at night.
Meanwhile, the rear light bar now integrates an illuminated CUPRA logo. This small detail adds a futuristic touch and makes the car instantly recognizable.
Drivers can also choose from six exterior colors. The new Timanfaya Grey joins the palette and highlights the Born’s bold character.
A Cabin That Feels More Premium
Inside, CUPRA focused on making the driving experience more intuitive and immersive.
The steering wheel now uses physical buttons instead of touch controls. This simple change makes everyday driving easier and more precise.
Material quality also improves. Redesigned door panels add a more premium feel across the cabin.
Technology takes a step forward as well. A larger 10.25-inch digital cockpit provides clearer driving information. At the same time, the augmented-reality head-up display projects key data directly onto the road ahead.
Sound quality also gets a major boost. CUPRA partnered with Sennheiser to introduce Contrabass technology, delivering deeper bass and a more immersive audio experience. The brand’s new Interior Sound Signature further enhances the connection between driver and car.
Performance That Matches the Design
The Born continues to focus on driving excitement. However, the latest update introduces new tools that make the experience even more engaging.
Launch control now unlocks quicker acceleration when drivers want maximum performance. In addition, the One Pedal Driving system simplifies city driving by allowing smoother deceleration through regenerative braking.
CUPRA also equips the Born with wider tires on both 19-inch and 20-inch wheels, improving grip and stability during spirited driving.
Buyers can choose from four motor and battery combinations. The most powerful version, the Born VZ, delivers 240 kW (326 PS).
Range That Fits Everyday Life
Range remains a strong advantage for the Born.
Models equipped with the 79 kWh battery can reach up to around 372 miles on a full charge. Versions using the 58 kWh battery offer approximately 279 miles of driving range.
Fast-charging capability also keeps travel convenient. Using a 185 kW DC charger, the larger battery can recharge in roughly 26 to 30 minutes. At home, the 11 kW AC system can replenish the battery overnight.
Smarter Safety and Driver Assistance
CUPRA also expands the Born’s driver-assistance technology.
The latest Travel Assist 3.0 system improves highway driving with cloud-supported control. Meanwhile, Crossroad Assist monitors traffic at intersections to enhance awareness.
The car also includes an upgraded Front Assist system with multi-stage warnings, plus pre-crash detection with rear monitoring to strengthen passenger protection.
Together, these upgrades transform the Born into a more refined and capable electric hatchback.
