Rivian R1 Quad: The Electric Truck That Can Do It All

Rivian R1 Quad: The Electric Truck That Can Do It All

A New Era of Power and Play

Rivian just dropped its most powerful electric vehicles yet. The 2026 R1T and R1S Quad-Motor models bring 1,025 horsepower and 1,198 lb-ft of torque, making them some of the quickest trucks ever built. Zero to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds? Done. These numbers rival supercars—but in vehicles that can haul, climb, and tow.

They’re not just fast. They’re clever, too. Every design decision focuses on performance, control, and adventure.

Kick Turn Is Back—and Better

Remember the long-hyped “tank turn”? It’s finally real. Rivian’s new Kick Turn lets these massive trucks spin in place using all four motors. It’s not just cool—it’s practical on tight off-road trails and gravel roads. And it works up to 15 mph. You don’t even touch the steering wheel—just press both buttons in the direction you want to spin.

It’s fun, yes, but also a lifesaver on tricky terrain. That feature alone sets these EVs apart from any other off-roader.

Ultimate Control at Your Fingertips

With the RAD Tuner, drivers can fine-tune nearly every driving element—throttle, damping, steering, torque split, and more. You can even save and name custom modes. Some are inspired by races like Pikes Peak and the Rebelle Rally.

This system was built by Rivian’s Adventure Department, a team focused on making off-road driving smarter and more customizable.

And if you want to relive the thrill, the new Launch Cam records your 2.5-second launches with speed overlays, perfect for social sharing.

Big Inside, Bigger on Capability

Inside, the R1T and R1S are as refined as ever. Beautiful materials, clever software, and a standard NACS port for Tesla charger access. Plus, up to 374 miles of range and new off-road tires mean adventure is always on the table.

The R1T tows 11,000 lbs. The R1S carries seven. Both dominate rough terrain with ease and comfort.

Worth the Price?

Starting around $120,000, these Quad-Motor beasts aren’t for everyone. But they’re halo vehicles—built to push limits and show what’s possible. If you crave performance, off-road dominance, and software smarts, Rivian’s Quad might just be your dream truck.
