All Gen 2 vehicles now come with Rivian Autonomy Platform, and it’s only getting smarter.
What’s Included in Rivian’s Autonomy Platform?
The standard Rivian Autonomy Platform includes:
- Driving Assist: Helps with manual driving when needed
- Highway Assist: Automatic steering, braking, and acceleration
- Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Change Assist
- Collision Avoidance and Emergency Braking
- Lane Safety Features like Lane Keep Assist and Blind Spot Warning
- Parking Support, including Rear Cross-Traffic Alerts and 360° sensors

Introducing Rivian Autonomy Platform+
The premium version, Autonomy Platform+, is launching on Gen 2 vehicles for free (initially). It adds:
- Lane Change on Command: Just hit the turn signal
- Enhanced Highway Assist: Hands-free control on select highways
- Universal Hands-Free: Works on over 3.5M miles of road in the U.S. and Canada
A full subscription service launches in early 2026 at $2,500 or $49.99/month.
Powered by Rivian’s Own AI Chip
At the heart is RAP1, Rivian’s custom 5nm chip that pushes 1600 sparse TOPS. It lives inside the new Autonomy Compute Module 3 (ACM3) and supports LiDAR in upcoming R2 models. It’s designed for real-time, AI-first driving—and will scale to future full self-driving systems.

Built on Rivian Unified Intelligence (RUI), the new Rivian Assistant will:
