A New Way to Control Your Rivian
Rivian just made vehicle access even easier.
The latest mobile app update introduces a dedicated Apple Watch app. Now drivers can control key vehicle functions directly from their wrist. In many cases, that means leaving the iPhone behind during a hike, workout, or quick errand.
This update expands how drivers interact with their Rivian. It also makes everyday access faster and more convenient.
Key Controls, One Tap Away
The Apple Watch app focuses on essential features. With a simple tap, drivers can lock or unlock doors, vent the windows, or trigger the alarm.
Users can also rotate the Digital Crown to set a target state of charge or adjust cabin temperature. In addition, the interface allows up to four customizable quick controls. That way, drivers can prioritize the features they use most.
Everything appears clearly on the small screen. As a result, access feels instant and intuitive.
Seamless Entry for Gen 1 and Gen 2
Driving remains simple across Rivian generations.
Gen 1 owners can tap the lock icon to secure or unlock the vehicle. Once the app stays open, the vehicle is ready to drive.
Meanwhile, Gen 2 models support passive entry. After setting up the digital key, drivers can walk toward the vehicle and it unlocks automatically. The process feels smooth and effortless.
Designed to Match the Rivian Experience
Rivian built the Apple Watch app as a natural extension of its iPhone app. The design mirrors the brand’s visual language. Climate, Energy, and Gear Guard controls use consistent colors and iconography. Even the Gear Guard yeti appears on the watch display.
Drivers can also add battery status as a watch face complication. That keeps range visibility alongside daily fitness or calendar metrics. The app even reflects the vehicle’s specific color and configuration.
More Features on the Way
Rivian plans ongoing updates. Future enhancements will continue refining the Apple Watch experience.
For now, the message is clear. Rivian drivers can now unlock, adjust, and monitor their EV directly from their wrist.
