Big EV Discounts for Costco Members
Costco is making a bold move into the EV market with a limited-time offer that’s hard to ignore. Through July 31, 2025, members can save up to $3,000 on a range of electric vehicles from General Motors and Volvo. These deals come through Costco’s Auto Program and are designed to stack easily with other savings, including federal tax credits and manufacturer promotions.
In a time when EVs still carry a price premium over their gas-powered counterparts, incentives like these help close the gap—bringing electrification within reach for more drivers.
How It Works
To qualify, your Costco membership must have been active before June 2, 2025. Next, visit the Costco Auto Program website and register for a savings certificate. Once you receive the certificate, you’ll present it at a participating dealership to receive the discount. It’s a simple process—but time-limited.
Which EVs Are Eligible?
A wide range of electric trucks, SUVs, and delivery vans are eligible. The discount amount depends on your membership level:
BrightDrop Vans (Zevo 400 & 600)
- $3,000 off for Executive Members
- $2,750 off for Gold Star and Business Members
Chevrolet & GMC Passenger EVs
- Silverado EV
- Sierra EV
- Hummer EV (SUV and Pickup)
- Blazer EV
- Equinox EV
Executive Members get $1,250 off; Gold Star and Business Members receive $1,000.
Volvo EVs and Plug-In Hybrids
- Up to $1,250 off, available through June
These vehicles qualify for other manufacturer incentives and state or federal rebates, depending on eligibility.
Stack the Savings
Costco’s deals can be combined with existing promotions. For instance, Chevy is offering up to $25,500 off its BrightDrop van. Add the $3,000 Costco discount and a $7,500 federal EV tax credit, and the total savings can reach over $36,000—a huge price drop for a high-tech commercial EV.
Chargers on Sale, Too
Costco is also offering member-exclusive discounts on GM’s Level 2 home chargers:
- GM PowerUp 2 Charger – $105 off
- GM Energy PowerShift Charger – $255 off
The PowerShift delivers up to 19.2 kW on an 80-amp circuit and is compatible with GM’s V2H Enablement Kit, allowing your EV to power your home during an outage.
Act Before It’s Gone
All offers expire on July 31, 2025, and require proof of eligibility. With rising EV demand, big manufacturer rebates, and added Costco savings, this could be the perfect time to plug in and drive electric—for less.
