Screenshare Is Coming to Tesla’s Center Display

Screenshare Is Coming to Tesla’s Center Display

A Sneak Peek into Tesla’s Upcoming Screenshare Tool

Tesla is cooking up a new feature, and it’s already sparking speculation. According to well-known Tesla hacker green, the upcoming Software Update 2025.38 includes screenshare support for the center display.

While Tesla hasn’t officially announced it yet, code inside the update reveals a system that allows the vehicle’s screen to be shared remotely. A notification pops up, along with a four-digit PIN to pair devices.

Why Screenshare Could Be a Big Deal

Although the exact purpose of the feature isn’t clear yet, the potential use cases are plenty.

One strong possibility is remote customer support—just like Apple’s remote screen viewing for troubleshooting. Tesla could allow its support team to access your screen and help fix issues directly, without needing a visit to a service center.

Robotaxi Could Be the Real Driver

Here’s where it gets even more interesting: Robotaxi. With no driver onboard, Tesla’s support team might need to remotely see what’s happening inside the car. Screensharing the display could help them handle passenger issues, complaints, or in-ride glitches.

It could also assist in verifying whether a customer misused the system or experienced an actual fault.

Good News for Older Tesla Owners

Another big plus? Intel-powered Teslas—not just the newer AMD-chip models—will also support this feature. That means a wide range of vehicles, even older ones, could benefit.

A Tool for Creators, Too

For Tesla fans and content creators, this might open up new ways to capture in-car footage, including Full Self-Driving visualizations. Expect more EV YouTubers to share what the car “sees.”

What’s Next?

Tesla hasn’t released official details yet, but it’s only a matter of time. The screenshare feature could be minor—or it could quietly become a major part of how Tesla drivers and support teams interact.

Either way, it’s one more step in making Teslas smarter, more connected, and more flexible than ever.
