Luxury Meets Long Range
Mercedes-Benz has revealed its first fully electric C-Class, designed to bring S-Class-level comfort into the midsize EV segment. It’s aimed at competing with models like the Tesla Model 3 while focusing heavily on refinement, efficiency, and tech.
Mercedes describes the car as delivering “S-Class smoothness,” combining luxury comfort with strong performance and long-distance capability.
Up to 473 Miles and Ultra-Fast Charging
The C-Class EV uses a 94 kWh battery pack, delivering up to 473 miles (WLTP) of range. That puts it among the longest-range electric sedans in its class.
It also supports ultra-fast charging, adding around 201 miles in just 10 minutes at speeds up to 330 kW. Mercedes says a quick stop can enable over 1,000 km of total travel.
A rear-wheel-drive version with even more range is expected later.
Performance and Driving Feel
The launch model, C 400 4MATIC, produces 482 hp from a dual-motor setup and can accelerate from 0–62 mph in about 4 seconds.
Optional air suspension and rear-wheel steering are available to improve both ride comfort and handling, making the car more capable on long highway drives while still feeling sporty.
High-Tech Interior
Inside, Mercedes goes all-in on digital luxury. An optional 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen spans the dashboard, paired with premium materials and upgraded seating.
Other features include massage, heated, and ventilated seats, ambient lighting throughout the cabin, and an available Burmester 4D sound system.
The Big Picture
Mercedes is positioning the C-Class EV as a new benchmark for midsize electric sedans, combining long range, fast charging, and high-end luxury. It shows how quickly EVs are moving into traditional luxury territory — and in some cases surpassing it.
