A Bold Shift for a Popular Crossover
Nissan is rewriting one of its most recognizable models. The all-electric Juke EV has officially been revealed, and it looks nothing like the gas version. Instead, it leans heavily into concept-car styling with a sharper, more futuristic design language.
This marks a major step in Nissan’s broader EV comeback strategy, especially for its European lineup.
“Disruptive” Design Takes Center Stage
Nissan is calling the new Juke EV “disruptive,” and the design backs that up. The shape is bold, angular, and far more aggressive than the outgoing model. It still keeps some of the original Juke identity, but everything feels more futuristic and electric-first.
According to Nissan executives, the goal is simple: bring the Juke’s rebellious character into the EV era without softening its personality.
Built on a Proven EV Platform
The Juke EV rides on the same CMF-EV platform as the new Nissan Leaf. It will also be produced in the UK at Nissan’s Sunderland plant, alongside other key models in the brand’s electric lineup.
Buyers can expect two battery options: 52 kWh and 75 kWh packs. While official range numbers are not confirmed yet, the larger battery could approach figures similar to the latest Leaf, which reaches over 600 km in optimal conditions.
Smarter Tech and Practical Features
Inside, the Juke EV is expected to follow Nissan’s newest digital layout, featuring dual-screen setups for driver information and infotainment.
One standout feature is vehicle-to-grid capability. This allows the car’s battery to store energy and send it back to the power grid when needed. That adds real-world utility beyond driving.
Part of Nissan’s Bigger EV Push
The Juke EV joins a growing electric lineup that includes the Leaf EV, Ariya, and upcoming compact models. Production will begin with early trials soon, with a full launch planned for spring 2027.
Nissan is clearly positioning this model as a key player in its European EV strategy, especially in the competitive compact crossover space.
A New Era for the Juke Nameplate
The Juke has always been about standing out. Now, in electric form, it pushes that idea even further. With radical styling and next-gen tech, Nissan is betting big that buyers are ready for something more expressive in the EV market.
