The Volvo EX60 Everyone Will Be Talking About

The Volvo EX60 Everyone Will Be Talking About

Volvo just pulled the cover off the all-new EX60, and the buzz is justified. The mid-size electric SUV marks a major reset for the brand and a bold step into its next generation of EVs. The EX60 made its global debut on 21 January 2026 at 6:00 PM CET, instantly becoming a cornerstone of Volvo’s electric future.

A New Chapter for Volvo Electric

For decades, Volvo built its identity on safety, clean design and Scandinavian simplicity. The EX60 continues that heritage but pushes far further. It is the first model developed on Volvo’s latest platform, created specifically for high-efficiency electric cars.

It also delivers the longest range of any Volvo ever. Up to 810 km on a single charge. That number alone puts the EX60 ahead of most EVs on the road today.

Designed to Break Range Anxiety

Volvo wants drivers to stop worrying about distance. The EX60 charges from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes on a 400 kW DC fast charger. It also packs 680 hp and launches from 0–100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

Every version benefits from an 800-volt architecture, advanced battery integration and smart thermal management—key ingredients for long-range consistency.

Smarter Driving, Built In

Inside, the EX60 introduces Volvo’s most intelligent software package yet. Google Gemini, Volvo’s new AI assistant, lets drivers speak naturally without memorizing commands.

The heart of the system is HuginCore, Volvo’s new computing platform. It blends in-house software with hardware from NVIDIA, Qualcomm and Google. Every feature improves over time through over-the-air updates.

Next-Generation Safety Starts Here

Volvo reinvented the seatbelt—again. The EX60 debuts a multi-adaptive safety belt that adjusts force and tension based on body size, seating position and crash conditions. It learns continuously, using data from near-misses and real-world scenarios to refine protection.

A Return to Form

With standout range, rapid charging, fresh design and a huge leap in safety tech, the EX60 signals Volvo’s comeback moment. This EV isn’t just another crossover—it’s the start of a new chapter for the brand and a strong contender in the mid-size premium market.
